Exhibition Statistics
205 exhibiting companies – with all available stand space taken.
6,000 attendees – a 5% increase on the 2007 event and a geographic spread that covered the whole of the UK & Ireland.
Diverse range of businesses – from private hire to day trips, school contracts to local bus services and community transport to package tours. 39% of the visitors came from operator based organisations, while 22% came from suppliers and 6% from local authority transport departments.
Senior company positions - over 50% of visitors held top posts within their organisations, with 20% from chief executive or managing director roles and 33% from managerial, consultancy or engineering roles.
High levels of purchasing responsibility – with 20% of visitors from companies with fleets in excess of 30 vehicles including 12% from companies with fleets of 100 vehicles or more.
Wide range of purchasing responsibilities – visitors came to Coach & Bus Live 2009 looking to source a broad range of products of services. For example, 78% for full size buses and coaches, 67% for mini or midi buses and coaches and 48% for body or chassis equipment. A further 37% had technology products high on their shopping list - looking for IT or AV communications equipment, ticket or fare collection systems.

Good quality visitors – 65% rated visitor quality as either good or very good and a further 21% as excellent
Valuable source of new business – 76% met with prospective customers they did not previously know
Demonstrable commitment to the show – 97% would consider booking for Euro Bus Expo 2010 or re-booking for Coach & Bus Live 2011
Effective marketing support - 97% rated the pre-show marketing campaign as either good or very good
Cost effective exhibition – 76% considered Coach & Bus Live to be all round good value for money compared to other similar trade shows.
Good event management – 55% rated organiser support as either good or very good while a further 38% rated it as excellent.
